You're taking a stroll and you see a person suffering from an ailment which causes compassion to well up in you. You want to pray and heal the person but suddenly, a thought pops into your head...
"what if he doesn't get well, then you'd have made a fool of yourself and people around will laugh at you"
...and because of that thought in your head, you walk on by and don't pray for the person.
Well, let's read Mark 16:17-18 together.
17 These are the signs that will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons. they will speak in new languages.
18 and they will pick up snakes with their hands. Even if they drink any deadly poison it will not hurt them; and the’ll place their hands on the sick, and they’ll recover.”
Well, from here we see that we aren't the ones who do the healing but Jesus, even as we use His name.
Just pray for them using the name Jesus seeing as all authority and power is in that name. You are not the
healer. Jesus Christ is the healer. Tell them about him and watch the miraculous happen.
